Many domain names are bought and put up for auction by name traders on websites like Godaddy auctions, Snapnames, or Pool.com. This makes it hard to find a name even if it is not used.

Godaddy backorder is a service offered by Godaddy to catch a name if it is not used.

The domain will go into auction on TDNam before it gets to you. 
You spend the 18 dollars, then they capture it, auction it, you lose it to an higher price and they give u a credit to do it all over again.
